At Surrey Chapel, we want to provide practical help to those who need it most. That’s why we set up Surrey Chapel At Work (SCAW) – to offer help to people who need a hand in and around the Norwich area.
What do we do?
We are staffed by volunteers from Surrey Chapel who are prepared to tackle most practical tasks. In the past we have helped with:
- Gardening
- Clearing rooms, lofts, garages and removing stuff to the tip
- Painting and decorating
- Moving items (even small removal jobs!)
- Filling out forms
For obvious reasons, we don’t do electrical or plumbing work but we are willing to help with pretty much anything else.
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one!
As part of God’s church in Norwich, we believe that being a church isn’t just about having Sunday services – we also want to show God’s love in the way we support others. That’s why we run a range of free services – you’ll find details under the ‘Community’ section of the website.
