Are you too young for school? Need to find somewhere to get your mum, dad or carer out of the house where they can meet their friends and know that you’ll be safe and have a great time? Tell them to come along to Smarties – Surrey Chapel’s toddler group. They’ll love it – and even better, because they’ll love it, they’ll keep bringing you along so every week you can get some proper ‘me time’ with your toddler mates!!
Smarties is a thriving and welcoming group for pre-school children and their parents or carers. It aims to serve the community, as well as church families, by providing friendship, support and a safe environment where the children can mix and play.
We meet at the Chapel every Friday during school terms from 9.30-11.30. We have a large team of helpers, appropriately vetted, who prepare refreshments, set out all the equipment, play with the children and enjoy a chat.
There is plenty of space and opportunity for play with a wide variety of toys available. During the morning we also sing songs, listen to a short Bible story and tackle an optional craft activity – there’s no chance to get bored! We enjoy celebrating the children’s Birthdays and other special events together. Coffee is on hand for the adults and there’s always a drink and a healthy snack for the children.
